The Labor Coalition knows what we all know. The 4th District County Supervisor race to fill the now vacant Nathan Fletcher seat will go to a runoff. None of the four candidates can achieve over 50 percent in the August primary.
That established, Labor wants to ensure its chosen candidate, Councilwoman Monica Montgomery-Steppe, doesn’t have to face Janessa Goldbeck come November.
Such “strategery” results in strange mail, in this case Labor backing Republican Amy Reichert with GOP voters, thus trying to bump her vote over Goldbeck’s. An odd alliance, for now. A definite help to Reichert.
