Sanders Sunk His Own Ship. He Can Never Be President

As if describing oneself as a “socialist” wasn’t enough of a disqualification, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders showed us why he should never be President today.  Watch this 80-second video of his address to his supporters then follow the backstory:

1- The Wikileaks of the DNC emails show that the Clinton campaign, along with its cronies at the DNC, did everything they could to rig the primaries and destroy Bernie Sanders.  They questioned his religion, his loyalty as a “real Democrat”, mocking his supporters, dismissing his requests for a debate in California as silly, and lying about his accusations about improper Clinton fundraising (which look to be true).

2- Sanders’ answer was that he forced Debbie Wasserman-Schultz to resign her position as DNC Chair.  She has since been contracted by the Clinton campaign to work on the “50-state grass roots strategy”.

3- Faced with irrefutable proof that Clinton “stole” the Democratic nomination from him, through nefarious tactics, Sanders continues to beseech his supporters to vote for Clinton for President.

Let’s look at this with respect to the constitutional duties of the President of the United States.  We can dismiss all of his wacky, socialist economic ideas ( income caps, income floors, single-payer health care, raising marginal tax rates to the point of dissuading productivity and investment ) because he will have to deal with a Republican House and (hopefully) Senate– he will be blocked at every turn.  The most important duty of the POTUS is foreign policy.  The Framers designed it so this was primarily the responsibility of the Executive Branch.  While declaring war is the responsibility of Congress, it is the President’s job to engage in foreign policy and prosecute the declared wars.

Sanders can’t be trusted with that all important constitutional duty.  Look at how he is dealing with this #DNCLeaks issues.  Clinton and her cronies cheated.  They rigged the game against Sanders and stole the nomination.  Now insert Putin for Clinton and think good and hard whether Sanders could ever be President.

It would be like Russia invading the Ukraine, with the help of a Russian-sympathizing Ukrainian Prime Minister.  Sanders would be celebrating that he convinced Putin to get the Ukrainian Prime Minister to resign while Russian troops rolled through and occupied Kiev.  I can just hear the Sanders speech now, “Brothers and Sisters, we must support Putin because there might be a bad guy somewhere in the Ukraine”.

JFK had his Cuban Missile Crisis.  Reagan had his PATCO moment which rocked the Soviets on their heels.  George Bush was tested numerous times and even Barack Obama had his Bin-Laden moment.

Bernie Sanders was tested today and he failed the test.  Rather than confront evil head on, Sanders showed sign of classic Stockholm Syndrome.  This man has no business being anywhere near the Oval Office.
