As Election Day approaches, the down-ticket races are understandably getting less attention. But one race in particular should be on your radar and I’m urging San Diego voters to make the right choice.
I hope you will join me in voting for Robert Amador for Superior Court Judge.
I’ve personally known Robert since he appeared as a prosecutor in my courtroom more than 20 years ago. Robert was, and continues to be, a hardworking and dedicated Deputy District Attorney who has spent his career keeping San Diegans safe. He possesses all of the attributes and qualifications desired in a judge and for these reasons I have enthusiastically endorsed him.
As a former Judge myself, and your current District Attorney, I am acutely aware of the qualifications necessary to be an effective judge of the San Diego Superior Court. Robert has those qualifications and qualities. His opponent does not.
Robert Amador received a rating of “Well Qualified” from the San Diego County Bar Association because he earned it. He has the experience, legal knowledge, trial experience, judgment, integrity, maturity, and temperament that is ideal for a judicial position. I have every confidence in the Bar Association’s ability to vet judicial candidates and I wholeheartedly concur with their rating.
His opponent, on the other hand, was rated “Lacking Qualifications” by the San Diego Bar Association. Further, the Lincoln Club withdrew its endorsement of his opponent and is now endorsing Robert Amador.
In fact, Robert Amador has a long list of impressive endorsements, including Sheriff Bill Gore, Mayor Jerry Sanders, the San Diego Deputy Sheriff’s Association, the Lawyers Club, a diverse group of bar associations, more than 85 judges, law enforcement organizations throughout the county, victims’ rights organizations, prosecutors, defense attorneys, and civil attorneys.
Simply put, Robert Amador’s qualifications are far superior to those of his opponent. For these reasons, I urge you to join me and vote for Robert Amador for Superior Court Judge.
