From radio host Rick Amato…

Greetings, Friends!

As I wrote in the previous issue of AMATO FOR LIBERTY, remarkably organizer(s) of the ‘Occupy San Diego’ protest have extended an invitation for Yours Truly to speak at their rally.

They did so after taking exception to an article written here titled Goofballs and Misfits which featured a video interview with a protester who identified himself as a socialist.  Organizer(s) objected to my depiction of them and stated that “socialists only represent the fringe element which I would better understand if I accepted their offer to speak.”

I have accepted their offer to speak at the ‘Occupy’ protest in San Diego.

I’m looking forward to having several Patriots and TEA Party supporters join me on Wednesday, October, 19th!

DATE: Wednesday, October, 19

TIME:  Approximately 5pm

LOCATIONCivic Center plaza at the intersection of 3rd & B Streets in downtown San Diego.

Patriots!  Will You Come Join Me?
It would be an amazing experience to look out into the crowd while speaking and see proud TEA Party members and Patriots among the ‘Occupy’ protesters.  Those of you in Southern California please mark you calendars and join me on Wednesday, October 19 at 5pm!

What To Expect
As an invited guest I intend to be cordial, respectful and frank so long as I am treated as such.  Surprisingly I received a request late today putting restrictions on the content of my speech.  I will elaborate at a later date.

This should be interesting.

Sincerely,

Rick Amato

  2. Good for Rick, I respect his decision. Even if there are fringe elements in OWS, there is also legitimate complaint in the their disgust with a government that puts wall street and the banks at the head of the line for bailouts.
