At the risk of criticism from the right or laughs from the left for even posting this, I frankly don’t care.

This was part of a mass communication sent tonight in support of a candidate, from a longtime activist in state Republican circles…

“About 12 years ago one of my clients was wrongfully accused, put a lien against his business account for a $45,000  they claimed he had not pay sales taxes to the SBE, in the course of 4 years span it went up to $180,000 with penalties and interest, in the mean time I contact  the SBE (my good friend Marcus Frishman who at the time I believe was Chief of Staff for Board member Claude Parrish who did an amazing job and asked the other Board members to hear the case, even after the bureaucrats had already ‘decided’ that my client was guilty and owed the money on back taxes) after producing thousand of thousands of documents the case was dismiss and they sent my client a clearance letter with an apology.”

That’s one sentence.

We can do so much better…

1) Have someone else check your work, no matter how good you think it is  — or you think you are — before clicking send or posting. Rostra bloggers, especially.

2) Accept constructive criticism.

3) If you see things like this, be willing to offer critique and even offer assistance on future communications before they go out. No matter the person.

4) Never stand for mediocrity.
