On Wednesday, September 4, the San Diego Association of REALTORS® Commercial Real Estate Alliance of is hosting Protect Prop. 13.
Jon Coupal, president of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, will headline the event designed to help educate the commercial real estate and business community about a proposed “Split Roll Tax” under consideration in Sacramento.
“Prop. 13 protections for commercial properties are under attack,” said Jim Taylor, president of the San Diego Association of REALTORS® Commercial Real Estate Alliance of San Diego. “Labor-friendly Democrats in Sacramento , led by new Assemblyman Phil Ting from San Francisco, have an appetite for a ‘Split Roll Tax,’ which would eliminate commercial real estate from the safeguards of Prop. 13.”
Coupal will be joined by the California Board of Equalization’s Michelle Steel. Roger Hedgecock is emceeing the event and U-T TV is scheduled to carry it live.
