COMPREHENSIVE PENSION REFORM for SAN DIEGO
For Immediate Release – January 13, 2012
San Diego — Today, the Chairman of the Comprehensive Pension Reform (CPR) campaign, T.J. Zane, issued the following statement regarding the labor unions’ effort to get the California Public Employment Relations Board to file an injunction against much-needed reform:
“The California Public Employment Relations Board is a bureaucratic agency controlled by government employee unions, so we’re not surprised by this initial ruling,” said T.J. Zane, president and CEO of The Lincoln Club of San Diego County and chair of the Comprehensive Pension Reform for San Diego committee. “We believe, in the end, we will successfully get past this challenge and San Diego voters will benefit because they will finally get the chance to decide whether or not the pension benefits for city employees should be scaled back to affordable levels.”
Representatives from the campaign are available throughout the day for Interviews on the topic.
