The founder of al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden, dead at the age of 54.

Senior White House Officials reported the walls closed in for bin Laden last year when actionable intelligence determined the founder of al Qaeda was indeed residing in Pakistan. With that knowledge intelligence agencies began work with the military to formulate a plan to kill the world’s most wanted man.

“Osama Bin Laden’s death at the hands of American forces is a fitting end to the world’s most notorious terrorist,” said Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Vista, CA), Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and previously a member of the House Select Committee on Intelligence from 2006 until 2009.

Ironically, information gathered at the controversial “secret prisons” was used to paint a picture of bin Laden’s inner circle and, as a result, the U.S. was able to locate and kill bin Laden.
