Escondido –  Escondido Police and Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) have arrested and removed 406 criminal illegal aliens in the first 10 months of a special program called “Operation Joint Effort”.

This is a model program and Escondido has been at the forefront of combating criminal aliens to keep the streets safe.  Escondido has also housed ICE agents at the police department for several years, one of very few cities to do so.

Very effective at finding and removing dangerous aliens from the city, this program set a record last month of removing 69 dangerous criminal aliens that were captured by ICE.

Of the 406 captured, 319 had been previously deported from the U.S., demonstrating the porous nature of our borders.  It is up to cities and local communities to defend themselves against this onslaught of criminal aliens.
