We are against any and all efforts to raise taxation, including bond issues which are accompanied by temporary or permanent tax.  We believe that all levels of government receive plenty of money to meet their missions.  Many local governments and special districts claim that the higher taxes are needed because of unfunded state mandates and/or a revenue grab by the state government.  Our position is that raising taxes on the locals is “blaming the victim” and recommend those city elected officials and/or special district boards should be confronting the theft by the state government.  Stated simply, we oppose any effort to raise taxes anywhere.

We believe that the best government is the one closes to the people.  As such, any and all efforts by state or county governments, to seize control from , dictate policy to, or redirect money from local governments should be opposed.

We think there are far too many criminal laws on the books as it is.  We think criminal justice reform is the answer.

We believe that Liberty is the default position when there is a local conflict.  As such, we generally oppose bans, restrictions, registrations, or fees for commercial, charitable, and community activities.

We also understand that some of the ballot propositions are “repeats” of earlier propositions which were defeated.  We recognize that the People have the right to petition their governments to reflect the communities’ respective positions as time changes.  Thus, we analyze the merits of the propositions, as if they were new ideas, and through the lens of Liberty as the default position.
