Oh That’s Right, Mexico Has Another Border. Did They Forget To Mention It?

During his pampered visit to the United States, Mexican President, Felipe Calderon condemned the new Arizona immigration law (which simply enforces our federal law).

Says Calderon: “Criminalizing immigration, which is a social and economic phenomena, this way opens the door to intolerance, hate, and discrimination.”

Oh, I see. “Intolerance, hate, and discrimination.” I wonder how many people in our country understand just how truly outrageous of a statement we all heard,or how it was issued by one of the greatest hypocrites to ever walk our fair blue planet.

FACT:  Illegal immigration to Mexico is considered a felony.  Its General Law on population says:

  • “A penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of three hundred to five thousand pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country illegally.” (Article 123)
  • Foreigners with legal immigration problems may be deported from Mexico instead of being imprisoned. (Article 125)
  • Foreigners who “attempt against national sovereignty or security” will be deported. (Article 126)

FACT: The Mexican army guards its southern border with Guatemala and Belize, ready and willing to shoot anyone who tries to cross. As for those who make it across anyway and later get apprehended,  according to Jose Luis Soberanes, president of the CNDH (National Commission of Human Rights) the Mexican government mistreats ‘indocumentados’ that cross its territory, it keeps them in jails, in overcrowded conditions, many times without food, without medical attention and overall, violating their human rights.”

Mauricio Farath, another CNDH staff, said that in some Mexican states, Central Americans “go to the municipal jails, where they stay for days and weeks. In some small rooms there are dozens of them and they do not separate the men and the women.” [CNDH: Aquí se criminaliza a los ilegales, Victor Ballinas Enviado, December 21st, 2005]

Mexicans who assist illegal aliens are also culpable. A Mexican citizen which marries a foreigner with the secret motive of helping that person live in the country is subject to five years in prison. (Article 127)

And how about these other subtle nuances of Mexican law?

-Foreigners can be kicked out of the country at any time without due process.

-Outsiders applying for citizenship must not offset “the equilibrium of the national demographics.”  Translation, only a certain amount of people from non-Mexican origin will be allowed to live in Mexico. Now, if that isn’t racial profiling, what exactly is racial profiling?

I sure am getting sick of all this. I’m so tired of foreign leaders, one hundred percent dependent upon America, slamming America just because they know they can get away with it. I’m disgusted to see our gutless wonder of a  president who stands there and takes it, partly because he has no spine, partly because he secretly agrees. “America does not define itself by borders.” Obama said to Calderon. Wow, Mr. President. What a brilliant piece of statesmanship!

Here’s what a president with some backbone would say: “Mr. Calderon, the truth is you love having people sneak across our border because their illegal jobs provide funds that are sent right back to Mexico’s failing economy. Well, I’ll tell you what, Mr. Calderon, From now on, for every one person who gets across our border, we are cutting one million dollars in aid to your hypocritical country.”

The problem would be over tomorrow. How do I know? Simple, I see the skilled precision, which protects Mexico’s southern border. Amazing what a government can do when it puts some actual effort into the situation.

Obama should also call for a formal condemnation of the organization, La Raza., a movement which believes Arizona, California New Mexico and Texas should all be returned to Mexico. Many of our college professors are affiliated with La Raza. When they use terms such as “racism” to describe those who want to protect our borders and when they blubber forth words  such as “compassion” toward those who want “immigration reform” they are only dishing out bumpkin for the masses, sounds  that will bring in the suckers. If you honestly believe our southern western states should be a part of Mexico, fine. You can believe anything you want. But at least understand the true agenda behind the movement you are following. President Calderon,  understands. Our own president should be holding his feet to the fire instead of kissing his behind.
