As Absentee Ballots are Mailed, Voters Reminded of Election’s Impact on Jobs & Economy

San Diego, CA – As absentee ballots are mailed to voters throughout California this week, the San Diego chapter of The New Majority urged voters to support candidates and measures that will help to bring economic stability to our city, state and nation.

“This election is as important as any in our lifetime,” said Joe Jubela, Chairman of the New Majority, San Diego.  “Our economy is struggling to regain its footing and our economic woes are largely due to failed policies in Sacramento and in Washington, D.C.  It is time to make economically sound, job-friendly policies a priority again.”

“New Majority has worked this last year to interview candidates and research issues that will appear on the ballot this November.  We have endorsed candidates who make a fiscally responsible philosophy in government a top priority and ballot measures that ensure fiscal reforms for California.  Our positions on these measures support economic growth, government reform and will help to spur job creation.”

“We are proud of the candidates we have endorsed.  Each has demonstrated passion for service and the will to do what is best for our city, state and nation,” concluded Jubela.

New Majority San Diego has endorsed: Mitt Romney for President of the United States, Darrell Issa (49th CD), Duncan D. Hunter (50th CD), Brian Bilbray (52nd CD), George Plescia (39th State SD), Brian Jones (71st State AD), Marie Waldron (75th State AD), Brian Maienschein (77th State AD), Mary England (79th State AD), Steve Danon (San Diego Supervisor, District 3), Carl DeMaio (San Diego Mayor), Ray Ellis (San Diego City Council, District 1). New Majority has also taken a “No” position on the following statewide ballot initiatives: 30, 33, 37, 38, and 39.  The group has taken a “Yes” position on 31, 32, 35 and 40.

  1. Wow, not being a member of the New Majority organization because it is not reachable by most people (me) because of the membership fee, which I understand they want people who can afford to give to their causes. What I don’t understand are their stances on the propositions 31 & 33….. 31 is filled with social engineering that would make us all travel by bikes and live in high rises to rid our society of suburbs and cars, 33 would improve the already bad regulation that exists. Well, good luck to them and their kind’a fiscal responsibility and their misunderstanding of all of the regulation traps that exist in CA for 33. It is noble, but not smart.
