San Diego — District Attorney and Mayoral candidate Bonnie Dumanis today released a new television ad that draws a strong contrast between her opponents and Dumanis’ years of chief executive experience as the county’s top law enforcement official.
“As District Attorney, I make tough decisions every day,” Dumanis says on camera. “As Mayor, I’ll do the same at City Hall.”
The television ad highlights Dumanis’ accomplishments as District Attorney the past nine years, including filing charges against corrupt politicians, maintaining a 94% felony crime conviction rate and sending Chelsea King’s murderer to prison for life, without the possibility of parole.
“When’s the last time you saw the other guys do that?” Dumanis asks during the spot.
The TV ad is one of several from Dumanis’ campaign that are hitting the airwaves this week.

This is a first rate production. If I wasn’t a Carl supporter, this would compel me to support the District Attorney. Bonnie has shown extraordinary class and a remarkable amount of conviction. She doesn’t have the strength to battle the unions at the negotiating table like Carl does, but I would trust her a lot more than Fletcher to serve taxpayers’ interests over labor unions.
Good commercial, very solid.
