Mark Walker Reports for the North County Times:
A top local aide to Republican Rep. Darrell Issa is drawing on his extensive political experience to run for a seat in the California Assembly in 2012.
Phil Paule, Issa’s district director and a resident of French Valley, said Thursday that he wants to be a legislative voice for middle-class families.
“I believe I know what works and what doesn’t work and want to do the best I can to get the state back on track,” said Paule, 48, who in addition to his work for the Republican congressman also holds a seat on the Eastern Municipal Water District board.
Paule is seeking the 66th Assembly District seat held by Republican Kevin Jeffries…

Thanks for relaying this interesting campaign news!
The NC Times story is incorrect, however, when it says AD 66’s, “boundaries are not expected to drastically change” when the State Redistricting Commisison
completes its work.
The first 2 sets of state Maps show ALL San Diego county areas being removed from AD 66, and added to the new SD-based district likely to be won by City Councilwoman MARIE WALDRON of Escondido.
Nice! Phil is the man, and would make a great assemblyman.
