There has got to be some misunderstanding.
I’ve never contributed any cash, not even a fetid dingo kidney, to Democrats. Or for that matter, to Republicans or Libertarians.
True, I once registered as a Democrat, but that was many years ago.
Yet look at what popped into my inbox earlier this evening from the former Speaker of the House (emphasis in original):

Bradley —
Thanks to your extraordinary support we hit our Federal Election Commission fundraising grassroots goal, raising over $1.1 million. You helped ensure that House Democrats had a strong and powerful showing before we reach the one-year-out to 2012 mark.
Because of our grassroots supporters, Democrats are gaining momentum and strength to defeat the Tea Party Republicans and win the House next year.
Last week the DCCC hosted more than 100 candidates from 36 different states as they prepare their campaigns for Congress. Many of these districts are represented by Republicans who voted to end Medicare to protect tax cuts for Big Oil and Billionaires.
The American people are rejecting the Tea Party Republican agenda that puts tax breaks for the wealthiest people in our country ahead of creating jobs. Grassroots Democrats are enabling us to seize the moment.
With just 25 Republican-held seats between us and a Democratic Majority, your support makes a critical difference and allows us to continue laying the groundwork to win the House in 2012. The generous contributions of grassroots Democrats will be put to work right away in our aggressive effort to hold Republicans accountable with targeted advertising, rapid response research, and grassroots organizing.
I cannot thank you enough for your generosity.
Nancy Pelosi

Nancy,
Thank you for your kind words. I’ll continue to give to Democrats just as I’ve done this year. Hope you like it.
Your email pal,
Bradley
