Mike Slater, the new 6-9 morning talk show host for KFMB-760 AM, spoke Tuesday evening at the Tri-City Tea Party meeting in Oceanside. About 70 people showed up, filling to SRO the room at Q Restaurant & Sports Bar. Click the photo below to watch a 13-minute video of Slater speaking.

Slater talked about conservative principles and urged the audience to begin a conversation with their friends and neighbors about the national debt.
“And the liberals who when Bush was in office — rightfully so — stood up and said you can’t be raising the debt ceiling, that’s out of control,” Slater said. “And the same liberals who back then were saying, George Bush, you have a $200 billion deficit for the year, but now, not a peep, when Barack Obama has a $200 billion deficit for the month of February!”
And yes, the silver-tongued Adonis assured the ladies in the room, he is single.

One announcement: The group will be holding another tax day rally in April at the Oceanside Pier Amphitheater, as it did in 2010. Details will be posted on the Tri-City Tea Party’s Web site.
