Here is a detailed story concerning the “town hall meetings” currently being staged by San Diego’s Mayor Jerry Sanders. These show trials would bring a smile to the face of any veteran commie reeducation camp commandant.

Who is on trial, you ask? The taxpayers of San Diego, that’s who!

The message is simple — if you simpletons don’t vote for Prop D (the city sales tax increase), we’re willing to let some of you die. The choice they offer is stark — vote for higher taxes, or lose your most critical city services, putting you and your loved ones at great risk.

It’s the classic false choice favored by tax raisers everywhere. The greedy bastards simply refuse to consider ways to better deliver city services more efficiently. And, in my mind, their intentional negligence is not just political posturing — it’s criminal.

At these meetings, no discussion is allowed concerning cutting city salaries and pensions, reducing retiree health care costs, using more efficient methods of getting things done, seeking volunteer assistance, or contracting out city services. Indeed, such alternatives are actively opposed — ridiculed as either undo-able or irrelevant.

EVERY Sanders speaker at these reeducation camp meetings is a highly paid city official who profits mightily from the city’s largesse. All look forward to six figure pension retirements, and they are the LAST people to look to for significant reform.

WARNING! This is a volatile story. It may make you angry. It SHOULD make you angry. Please — don’t read and drive.

Prop D is only the beginning of the war to preserve city pensions.
