San Diego, CA – Kirk Jorgensen, a Republican candidate to represent California’s 52nd Congressional District, issued the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed the compromise federal budget, known as the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2013:

“While I am encouraged to see members of both parties finally working together to create a federal budget, this legislation does not seriously tackle the monumental challenges facing our great nation. Instead, it takes us in the wrong direction. This bill actually increases the amount of money our government will spend this year and doesn’t come close to balancing the budget. With the federal debt hovering above an astronomical $17 trillion dollars, these nickel-and-dime efforts by the current leadership in Washington won’t get the job done to put America back on the road to economic prosperity and fiscal solvency.”

“We cannot afford to continue down this road to ruin. It’s time to send a new type of leader to Washington, one who puts service to his country ahead of self-interest and partisan politics. Carl DeMaio and Scott Peters represent the typical career politician who does business as usual. I look forward to proving to the voters of California’s 52nd congressional district that when they send me to Washington, D.C., I will work only for them.”

Background:

The 52nd Congressional District stretches from Poway to Coronado. The district is home to many of San Diego’s iconic sites and military installations, including Marine Corps Air Station Miramar and Naval Air Station North Island. More than 10% of the adult voter population in California’s 52nd congressional district is comprised of veterans.

Kirk Jorgensen is a longtime San Diego resident. He is a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran, who deployed to the Middle East and Europe, and led teams to combat terrorism around the globe. Jorgensen’s time as an active duty Marine Officer was marked by numerous awards and honors, including the Defense Meritorious Service Medal. Most recently, Jorgensen worked in the private sector in San Diego, helping identify technologies that increase the strength of America’s defense capabilities. Kirk, his wife, Dr. Georgine Jorgensen, and their two sons live in the Black Mountain Ranch neighborhood of San Diego.

  1. Kirk, if you had a choice would you Save the Cross on Mount Soledad, or become another political hack in DC? Politics is local and your pulpit could be Mount Soledad for the next 90 days.

Scott and Carl, what are you going to do do? Scott if the Cross comes down on your watch, you will be booed off the steps of the Cross forever. Expose the ACLU, and the false flag Jewish War veterans Inc.
