It’s Not A Tax Unless We Need To Win In Court

When Obama was running for president, he promised:

“Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.” -Barack Obama– September 12th 2008

Then, while trying to pass his “health care reform,” Obama came under attack from Republicans who insisted that the fees people and companies would have to pay for not having health care, or the health care premiums themselves, were nothing less than a tax.  Our president went ballistic and defended himself to George Stephanopoulos, on ABC News’ This Week.

“For us to say that you’ve got to take a responsibility to get health insurance is absolutely not a tax increase. I absolutely reject that notion”

I guess he must have been telling the truth: After all, he did use the word absolutely, not once, but twice!

Flash forward to the present: The Obama administration is being sued by 20 states over  health care mandates, which make up a large part of his “free health care for all Americans.”  The states are claiming that it is unconstitutional to force people to buy something they do not want since the health care law does not fit the conditions set forth in the Commerce Clause.

So how is Obama defending himself? With Article 1 Section 8 of the constitution. If you are unfamiliar with this portion, it’s that fun chunk of law giving government the right to tax!

At long last, our president admits what thinking people already knew: If it looks like a tax and smells like a tax, it’s a tax.

How does Obama plan to get away with this rather glaring contradiction that makes him out to be a liar? Quite simply, he remembers all the proven lies nobody cared about during his campaign, such as, lying about his vote on the Illinois Infant Protection Act, and lying about his close association with terrorist, Bill Ayers. You, the American citizen, are expected to do now what you did before: Notice his polished speaking ability, and keep supporting him for fear of being branded a racist. Oh yes, and whatever else the man may be, at least he’s not George Bush!
