Is America Still Great?
The short answer is absolutely, but unfortunately California is struggling right now.
CBS has a new show called “Undercover Boss”. I have had the opportunity to see a couple of episodes and I have been inspired each time by the greatness of American ingenuity to keep our economy going. One episode in particular featured the CEO of 7-11, Joe DePinto. He went undercover for one week to witness how his company is running from his employees’ perspectives. One segment stood out as a testament to the greatness of the American Dream. Joe rode along with with Igor, one of 7-11’s night time truck drivers. Igor is an immigrant from Kazakhstan and has a great attitude about life, about hard work, and about America.
Here is Igor in his own words in a short Video.
We are all truly blessed and should be “so happy” to live in this country. Unfortunately, this is a tough time in California’s history, and it is not always easy for us to have Igor’s positive attitude. But, I for one refuse to believe California’s best days are behind us.
Most of the problems facing our state today are the result of misguided rules, regulations, and legislation that is killing our economy and chasing our businesses into other states. There is no reason for this. California remains one of the largest economies in the world, and unfortunately we have a majority party in Sacramento playing preschool with our economy.
I want to go to Sacramento and put into place principles that you and I know work–the principles of free markets, self determination, limited government, self responsibility, moral character that our country was founded on.
I have three goals in Sacramento:
1. Cut taxes
2. Cut regulatory burdens
3. Regain our moral ground
If you agree with me that California can be great again, and can lead the world in ingenuity, opportunity, and prosperity, then I need your help. Right now the best way you can help is go to the web site and make a contribution of any amount.

I am very thankful for your continued support and with your contribution of any amount we can make a difference in Sacramento. California can and will be great again. You and I can be a part of that comeback.
Your Friend,
Brian
Next week I will share with you the wacky story that inspired me to run for this position – you won’t believe it.
