Seriously, the only news possibly bigger than that would be the Deputy DAs not endorsing Dumanis.
Also, this just in, an informal poll of Bob Filner’s staff members shows them to be supporting their guy for mayor.
Carl and Nathan, if your staffers end up supporting you, please let us know.
_____
Oh, this is not to discount the fact that the DDAs do have a PAC with funds to support those they endorse.

Steve – Attempt at humor aside, this will help sharpen her law and order resume. It would have been big news if they had not endorsed her of course.
Steve:
Here is a related SD Rostra article about the Deputy DAs
PAC (“San Diegans Against Crime “) and their very astute
strategic adviser Janay Kruger:

I would have thought this to be one of her first, kind of odd its just coming now. Plus, not really the kind of red meat news donors want to hear after she got trounced by DeMaio in the Survey USA poll.
Carl picking up Roger Hedgecock, thats big. Nathan picking up a former Dem state senator and getting legislation signed by governor, thats big. Both have a lot of potential down the road.
Bonnie doesn’t need a bunch of lawyers telling people she is tough on crime, the county already elected her for that, twice! Its a weak attempt to keep her candidacy afloat by showing she has some type of support, albeit her own employees.
Just went to her website, looks like she has a really diverse group of supporting organizations…

Oh yeah, Dumanis is BIG on “law and order.” For instance, as SD County DA, she filed an amicus curiae in support of the Chicago handgun ban when it came up for review before the U.S. Supreme Ct. NOTE:
It was overturned as it was an obvious violation of the 2nd Amendment — obvious even to our Supremes.

Police and DA’s LOVE such bans on citizen gun ownership — especially the leaders of such organizations. Of course, THEY all get to pack heat 24/7. Screw the public.
For conservatives and libertarians, this is “one law and order” position that is vehemently opposed. And it’s a big one.
