Assemblyman Fletcher maintained his impeccable 70% 71% absence rate today.

The State Assembly voted on 35 proposed laws today, bringing Fletcher’s total missed votes to a whopping 263 this year.

In addition to the floor votes, Assemblyman Fletcher skipped a vote on a controversial tax increase that was voted on in the Revenue and Taxation committee. Assembly Bill 1500 passed the Revenue and Taxation Committee. Fletcher was absent and has refused to state a position on the legislation.

Would he care to take a stand on AB 1500 here on Rostra?

  1. At this point, we should have a daily Fletcher missed votes count on this site. Maybe a call out box. What do you think Thor? Maybe Thor’s assistant.

  2. I mean…it’s getting ridiculous at this point. He’s asking to be publicly mocked because he is publicly mocking his constituents.

  3. At this point we should just assume Nathan Fletcher will not be working as a legislator. I understand he’s a candidate for another office, but this is an issue for me that he’s not working.

  4. Could he honestly tell us that if elected for mayor and then in 2018 if he (*gasp*) decided to run for higher office (governor), he wouldn’t abandon his mayoral post in San Diego and travel around the state campaigning? This guy is a pure politician.

  5. He’s here to get elected. Not solve problems, not join with Democrats if they have a god idea, not join with Republicans if they have a good idea, not balance a budget, not provide leadership, not improve education.

    Just to get elected.

  6. Carl Supporter,

I guess the same could be said for DeMaio, or any other politician for that matter.
