“In case you’re new to the game, I’m not exactly a big fan of Dean Spanos. He’s a lying, manipulative billionaire who wants a cash-strapped city to fully fund a new stadium for a franchise he has mismanaged to a depressing degree. Aside from completely abandoning a fanbase that supported his team for 55 years, Spanos is the same guy who has been behind the firing of Marty Schottenheimer following a 14-2 season, the hiring of one of the worst head coaches in NFL history in Norv Turner, and continuing to pay the incompetent head coach/general manager combo of Mike McCoy and Tom Telesco.”

A “lying, manipulative billionaire,” you say?
A bottle of yellow hair dye and a comb-over should make him a strong presidential candidate.
Spanos had twenty years to colonize the LA market. He could have held training camps there a preseason game every other year at the LA Coliseum. Advertised on billboards. Worked out travel packages with hotels, sea world and the zoo. LA was his backyard.
Now with the Rams moving is the only imputes for him to move to a city that after being the only football team in Southern California, doesn’t want them. Is there any wonder why there are more Raider fans here than there are Charger fans up there?
I love Dean, he’s friendly, open minded and innovative. I don’t get why San Diegans’ are so hostile to his entreaties.
He has nothing but the purist motives, helping our local economy, building a team we can all get behind.
It’s time we face the facts, Dean’s a winner, someone we can be proud of, someone we can support, he is the poster child for San Diego.
Go Chargers!
Archie Manning had it right, Chargers ownership isn’t committed to winning.
The way I see it is, if you want my loyalty, win.
If you go to a restaurant and the food is just OK, the service poor, the prices are high, would you go back? Maybe once because it could just have been one of those day. But on your 2nd visit the service was poor, the food was just OK and the prices are high, would you go back anymore? Hell NO. And that is exactly what the Chargers offer the folks of San Diego. Poor product, high prices, lousy service.
I love San Diego and want everything associated with it to be the best. That includes our pro sports teams. Let’em move to LA & achieve the rousing success and dominant image of the Clippers.
