Let’s start here; I called Bernie Sanders “Comrade” because he is a socialist. I’m not using an unreasonable amount of literary hyperbole, Bernie Sanders calls himself a socialist. To be fair to Comrade Bernie, he’s a kinder, gentler socialist unlike Kommisar Putin.
Sanders is running for POTUS, a position which constitutionally directs him to formulate foreign policy and, when authorized by Congress, lead the Armed Forces of these United States in war. Success is the former avoids the need for the latter so it is important that foreign leaders see POTUS as someone who can negotiate with them. It is helpful for Americans to know that POTUS wont negotiate away our sovereignty.
Watch this video. Two young women shut down a Sanders for President rally, in Seattle, by screaming at him. Sanders handed over the microphone, stood around as they hijacked the agenda, then walked off was bum rushed off the stage in defeat.
Let’s review this: Two young women, scared the potential Commander-In-Chief , of the mightiest military in the history of humankind, by screaming at him.
Kommisar Putin has got to be licking his chops.

What do you think Sanders should have done? Would you have been more impressed if he had punched those women in the mouth?
Sanders is not my first (or even second or third) choice for President, but he is certainly not a Kremlin Socialist; he is a Democratic Socialist. You should look up the difference.
Brian concedes the difference between the two men–Putin and Sanders–and their respective styles of socialism (we might describe as being 1984 vs. Brave New World) in the first paragraph, doesn’t he? And in the end, aren’t both “roads to serfdom?”

I would have said, “Please sit down and hold your questions to the end of my presentation or I will be forced to have the police remove you from my stage. You are guests whom I want to respect but you will show me respect at my event”.
After 10 seconds of ranting, I would have had them forcibly removed. That’s what President Obama would do as well.
Socialism is socialism regardless of how you dress it up. I suppose Comrade Bernie’s brand brings out the guns later than Kommisar Putin’s.

Hate to cloud the Bernie euphoria with facts; as Madam Thatcher aptly pointed out, “the problem with socialism is it eventually runs out of other people’s money.”
Moreover, socialism kills….literally. The bolschiviks were responsible for 100ks of execution style deaths of fellow Russian citizen political undesirables in the immediate years following the 1917 revolution…but they were just warming up. From 1934-37, socialist economic folly led to the mass forced starvation of fellow Soviet citizens in Ukraine estimated by most reputable historians nearing 7 million deaths, where many of those were caused by selective canibalism. During the war years, Stalin and his NKVD systematically eliminated millions of political undesirables, suspected Western sympathizer, and Soviet soldiers who’s crime was having been captured by the Germans.
Not to be out done, Mao had two significant murder sprees; the first following the 1949 revolution, where millions of Gen Chiang Kia Shek sypathizers were shot and buried in shallow graves, then the Cultural Revolution where 10s of millions more Chinese PRC citizens were annihilated for simply thinking incorrectly.
Pol Pot, Ho Chi Min, Che Guevara, Castro, Kim -Il-Sung, Tito, Ceasescu, Amin, Assad, Chavez; That is the legacy Bernie Sanders and his ignorant and self-diluted follows in Portland, New Hampshire, and Hollywood embrace.
Ben Carson revealed another Progressive lie when he exposed Margaret Sanger for her true background and history with the racist Eugenics foundation for Planned Parenthood…another Liberal saint…but that is for another posting….

A Democratic Socialist will enslave you, but doesn’t want to imprison you or kill you — they value your worth as a working slave.
The old school socialists figured killing anyone that might object solidified control, saved on resources and expedited the Workers Paradise.
Perhaps there’s a better third option in politics . . . .

If socialism is about leveling the playing field. Then here is a third option. Raising taxes to the top tier income class then designate that tax fund to reduce regulatory burdens on small business that much larger business have the financial resources to pay.
then offer tax incentives to companies that make technologies that directly address burdensome regulations. This would facilitate employment for the public sector particularity in facilitation of tax dollars to pay for government implemented regulations.
Or you can de-regulate. Thus freeing up tax dollars for small business to expand and hire workers that would have otherwise been lost in the public sector. A net effect would be private sector growth and more tax revenue for the state.
Frankly capitalism appears more efficient.This seems more efficient.
