It occurred to me that my earlier post about the El Cajon CDC might be confusing to those of you not familiar with El Cajon politics. So here is some clarification: The CDC stands for Community Development Corporation. It is a non profit corporation tasked with the vitalization of the El Cajon Downtown area. It is funded by a combination of taxes and grants. It receives approximately $1.5 million per year. Like any organization in this position there are supporters and detractors. It became apparent to me that the organization needed a fiscal and performance audit, so as to assure the tax payers that good stewardship is in effect.
