San Diego – Businesswoman and Victims Advocate Kristie Bruce-Lane announced her candidacy for the 40th State Senate District, which encompasses North and East County, including the City of San Diego.
Kristie enters the race with the support of Assemblyman Carl DeMaio, who’s 75th district includes much of the 40th State Senate District.
In endorsing for Senate District 40, Assemblyman Carl DeMaio praised Bruce-Lane and noted that she “is a tenacious fighter and has been a partner in the fight to reform California and restore sanity to Sacramento.”
“Kristie Bruce-Lane has been a stalwart advocate for taxpayers, families and victims of domestic violence, and I’m confident she will fight in the State Senate to make California a better place for all,” DeMaio continued.
Active in her community, Bruce-Lane was previously elected to serve as a Director for Olivenhain Municipal Water Board. Kristie currently serves as the CEO of The Thumbprint Project Foundation, which aids in the transitional process of homeless children who have been impacted by childhood domestic violence.
