Over the weekend, U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested a Mexican national after he was smuggled into the country using a personal watercraft (PWC).
Just before sunset Border Patrol agents spotted a PWC with two occupants cross the international maritime boundary into the United States from Mexican waters, something the agency monitors 24-hours a day.
Once the PWC craft was detected, U.S. agents observed one individual jump off the Jet Ski along the coastline in Imperial Beach and captured the illegal alien.
Border Patrol determined the 25-year-old Mexican national male was illegally entering the United States and transported him to a local Border Patrol station for processing and further investigation.
Meanwhile the driver of the Jet Ski was able to escape authorities and return to Mexican waters.
