SACRAMENTO, CA – In today’s “Are You Kidding Me?” segment, Assemblyman Jones (R-Santee) criticizes Legislative Democrats for killing a measure to give all Californians more flexibility in the workplace. Assembly Bill 2448 would have permitted an individual employee to request an alternative workweek schedule providing for workdays up to 10 hours within a 40-hour workweek.
Assemblyman Jones said, “This law is already in place for union workers. Apparently the Democrats believe what’s good for a union worker just isn’t good for everyone else. We can’t let this inequality exist between union and non-union workers.”

Are you interested in employee rights or employer rights? There is nothing wrong with fighting to give employers more flexibility, but it would be nice if you were less disingenuous about your motives.
