SACRAMENTO, CA – Assemblyman Jones (R-Santee) today released an “Are You Kidding Me?” segment reflecting on the freedoms we have as Americans as Independence Day approaches. According to the First in Freedom Index, based on state fiscal policy, education, regulations, and health care, California ranks 48th, making it one of the least free states in the country. Assemblyman Jones says, “We are supposed to be the land of the free, yet our state regulates our economy more than other states; taking money out of our pockets, telling us how to raise our kids, and even restricting the fireworks that we use to celebrate the 4th of July.”
