ENCINITAS MAYOR ENDORSES ROCKY
Mayor Jerome Stocks backs Rocky, further uniting District 76
ENCINITAS – The people of Assembly District 76 are uniting in support of Rocky Chavez.
Today, Encinitas Mayor Jerome Stocks announced his endorsement of Rocky for California Assembly. With his support, Stocks joins dozens of elected and former elected officials from Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas and Vista.
Mayor Jerome Stocks:
“Rocky is a fighter who will stand up for the people of District 76,” said Stocks. “We need a strong leader in Sacramento who will build support for fiscal reform and government accountability.”
Stocks has served as Mayor and City Council Member since first being elected in 2000. Stocks also serves as Chairman of SANDAG, and on the Board of NCTD.
“I thank Mayor Stocks for joining our ranks and for serving his community,” said Chavez. “I’m proud that we are bringing our District together to fight for jobs and government accountability. We won’t stop the fight until we make it to Sacramento.”
Support for Rocky Chavez’s Assembly campaign is growing following his first-place finish in this month’s primary election.
Chavez is seeking to represent the 76th California Assembly District, which includes the cities of Oceanside, Vista, Carlsbad and Encinitas. The Chavez campaign is focused on jobs and the economy, education, veterans, and government efficiency. Chavez served as a Marine for more than twenty-eight years, retiring as a Colonel. He then went on to serve nearly a decade on the Oceanside City Council before leading the Department of Veterans Affairs.
