SACRAMENTO – Assemblyman Brian Jones, R-Santee, kicks off the release of insightful commentaries this week entitled, “Are You Kidding Me?” Assemblyman Jones says “out loud” what many Californians are thinking about the Legislature in these brief, eye-opening segments. The commentaries provide common sense thinking about current problems and controversial issues facing California.
“I find myself shaking my head at the nonsense that surrounds the Legislature and then I ask, ‘Are You Kidding Me?’ From stupid bills to silly policies that have no relevance to Californians, it’s no wonder the Legislature has a low approval rating,” said Assemblyman Jones. “I hope these segments can raise awareness at the misguided priorities and reckless decisions at the Capitol, but at the same time provide alternative, practical solutions.”
Throughout the year, The “Are You Kidding Me?” segments will be comprised of video and audio recordings that are less than 60 seconds. Assemblyman Jones’ website will also feature ongoing topics throughout the summer on issues like the Governor’s trigger cuts, the controversial fire tax, and California’s poor business climate.
