Press Release from Jorgensen for Congress…
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 26, 2013) – Kirk Jorgensen, Republican candidate for California’s 52nd Congressional District, today announced that he received the endorsement of retired Congressman Duncan L. Hunter. Congressman Hunter served in the U.S. House of Representatives for 28 years and chaired the Armed Services Committee for the 108th and 109th Congresses.
Congressman Hunter said in a prepared statement: “Kirk Jorgensen represents qualities that our community needs. He has served our nation on the battlefield and brings strong character and intelligence to the political arena. He will work to bring quality jobs to San Diego. Further, he knows the importance of maintaining a strong national defense. I am proud to endorse Kirk Jorgensen for the United States Congress.”
Jorgensen responded, “I am honored to receive Congressman Hunter’s endorsement. His accomplishments in Congress and as our Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee make his decision to support my candidacy even more humbling. Congressman Hunter’s unwavering leadership of our men and women serving in the military is a model I hope to emulate.”

Does this mean DeMaio is running for Mayor?
It means Duncan L. Hunter is endorsing Kirk Jorgensen

Hector:
Huh?
I think he was answering HQ’s question. All this means is that Duncan L Hunter is endorsing DeMaio’s Republican opponent for Congress.

It was so obvious we missed it. We’ve corrected the “I means” to “It means.”
thanks Thor for correcting the mistake
On another article in this blog…there was a comment about Jorgensen not having any name recognition…well, both Hunter and CEO Titan Corporation know who he is…and according to Jorgensen’s tweets and press staements, so do many prominent RNC & NRCC members…history is rplte with so called “no name-ers” who are initially berated with the charge of “they haven’t done anything” or “no one knows them” etc…usually pushed by those in the establishment that they are challenging…and history’s pile of incumbants defeated by the “no-name” are replete with comments like” “well, we didn’t see that coming”…and “they ran a great campaign” and sundry other “could a-should a” statements of defeat…Jorgensen has a strong, capable, and refreshing CV with real combat leadership and fortitude in the face of real adversity, not feigned controversies of bureaucratic infighting and cat-fights between local political hacks…
What is he going to do Founding Father, shoot them all?
Mole,
I can try to explain it one more time…because it would be the courteous thing to do…but, alas, my friend, I cannot comprehend it for you.
Mr. Jorgensen has the mettle for leadership…the DNA that has been forged by adversity that only adds and enables his leadership attributes…we see what happens with candidates in the security and national defense arenas that have no clue to the tooth to tail concerns that are experienced by both troops and officers alike. We see this unfolding right now with the “smartest president ever” who muddles and fuddles in his national security approaches that have real consequences for our young men and women in uniform. Ronald Reagan wasn’t a warrior…obviously it is not the only attribute for quality leadership, but many recognize the character forged in battle and difficulty that transcends the safe, secure, and often contrived controversies of local and regional politics.
Mr. Jorgensen has the clay…the same clay many successful political candidates and politicians have displayed …John Kennedy, Bob Dole, George Bush (s), George McGovern, Jimmy Carter…sure we can debate their performances, but they all rose to national political prominence based on, at first, and in part, to there military experiences.
Most understand that a military background, especially one forged in combat, it a viable and universally accepted measure for the “clay” that supports a good leader.
Mole,
Nah….
Mr. Jorgensen clearly has the mettle for leadership…the DNA that has been forged by adversity that only adds and enables his leadership attributes…if you read his website, he is touting his “leadership” attributes, not his political ones…we see what happens with candidates in the security and national defense arenas that have no clue to the tooth to tail concerns that are experienced by both troops and officers alike. We see this unfolding right now with the “smartest president ever” who muddles and fuddles in his national security approaches that have real consequences for our young men and women in uniform. Albiet, Ronald Reagan wasn’t a warrior…obviously it is not the only attribute for quality leadership, but many recognize the character forged in battle and difficulty that transcends the safe, secure, and often contrived controversies of local and regional politics.
Mr. Jorgensen has the clay…the same clay many successful political candidates and politicians have displayed …John Kennedy, Bob Dole, George Bush (s), George McGovern, Jimmy Carter, Duncan Hunter Jr., and Tom Cotton…sure we can debate their performances, but they all rose to national political prominence based on, at first, and in part, to their military experiences.
Most understand that a military background, especially one forged in combat, it a viable and universally accepted measure for the “clay” that supports a good leader. Why else would Hillary Clinton try to embellish her brush with “sniper fire” in Kosovo on a completely secure military airfield…because her handlers wanted to craft a (false) narraitve that she had what it took to “lead” under adversity…same with Richard Blumenthal, the senator from Delaware that claimed he spent two combat tours in Vietnam…he had never even been to Vietnam..but he wanted to, again, craft the illusion of being tested in the most recognized form of chaos and adversity…combat.
I hope that helps…
He doesn’t stand a chance against Carl. Bye Kirk.
..lol…well, not with an attitue like that he won’t.. 🙂
Why should the “new guy” who meets every single Party Platform core-precept, a combat vet, dedicated family man, well educated, well funded, and increasingly gaining awareness be considered?
Tha’t crazy…or maybe the outright dismissal of him by powers within the SD Republican Leadership and construct don’t have their snouts in his trough yet…that’s crazy…and a bit disconcerting..
Jorgensen has, and will campaign, and be supported on every single Republican Platform pillar DeMaio has in his political quiver…the same cannot be said of DeMaio…
So it comes down to a Republican…or a “Republican-like” choice…beef…or tofu…ice cream or snow cone…
The smugness of the SD Republican Leadership in it “all in” tactic for DeMaio will be its undoing!
And that is why our nation sends men like Kirk Jorgensen to combat…
He won’t quit so easily.
FF
They will treat him like crap
Put roadblocks at every turn
Once they settle on a candidate, anyone else is
cannon fodder
Not an open, fair and inclusive process, that you think the party
and the voters would demand
I have heard this about the RPSD leadership elite…and frankly, it is disgusting…however, in spite of my “blather” according to Mr. Rider, I am pragmatic enough to know it is not all roses, gumdrops, and pixie dust for members of the Republican Party in SD.
Here is something they have not considered:
Mr. Jorgensen spent a great deal of his military career assessing and reporting on geo-political and sectarian factions, their interactions, weak points, strength, and vulnerabilites. Does anyone think for one moment he would not, could not, apply that same level of analysis and intellectual rigor into assessing the same traits for an American regional political system and process as seen in the San Diego RP??
I think there are frankly a great deal of naive, comfortable, and ignorant civilians that have NO idea what a Kirk Jorgesen is capable of…yours, and my, tax dollars trained him to work with indigenous factions, forces, and key political and military figures to persuade, influence, and affect US national interest on our behalf…he has surrounded himself with others that know how to do this, and know how to win…While most Americans over rthe last 10 years were at the mall, Mr. Jorgensen, and many consulting and surrounding him, were at war…winning the hearts and minds of local, indigenous populations, and giving them hope and practical positive aspects in their lives…and saving American lives..that is not a bumper sticker..it is the truth.
I don’t think DeMaio, or his insider cronies, have a clue what is coming their way…
