No, this is not one of our infamous April 1 posts. This is obviously a terrible and potentially tragic situation for the man threatening to commit suicide — and this is not to make light of it in any way. It may or may not be political news, but it very well could be a sad statement on society that any individual would place (or misplace) so much personal focus on a public official to the point of believing that official has so much power over his/her life.
