Faulconer talks pension reform on national television
In case you missed it, Kevin Faulconer appeared on Fox News Channel this week to talk about San Diego’s Comprehensive Pension Reform citizen’s initiative, the fight to put it on the ballot and the millions of dollars in savings it can bring to taxpayers.
The reform measure, which will appear on the June ballot, comes at a time when cities across the country are grappling with unsustainable pension payments and looking for solutions like this .

LA Fitness’ Recurring ‘Satellite Issue’ With Fox News
From my most-excellent North County Times colleague Mark Walker, comes this:
Fitness devotee Dianne Lowe’s best exercise in recent days may be standing up for what she says is free speech.
The five-year member of the LA Fitness club on El Norte Parkway in Escondido was outraged last week when she went to turn on the right-leaning cable channel while working out and found it wouldn’t come in.
Lowe talked to a gym attendant, who she said told her that LA Fitness officials had ordered it shut down.

Fox News has announced that the former Alaskan Governor will be doing political commentary for the cable channel.
The increasingly popular Palin, just finishing up her nationwide book tour last month is ready and excited to be taking on a new challenge. Her refreshing conservative message will be an added asset to Fox News.
Fox said “according to the multiyear deal, Palin will offer political commentary and analysis. She also will host occasional episodes of Fox News’ “Real American Stories”, a series featuring true inspirational stories about Americans”.
