Since Nathan Fletcher used to write for SD Rostra, we always like to keep up with how our peeps are doing.
The San Diego Union-Tribune notes that the latest Wikileaks email dump shows Fletcher sent an email to the Hillary Clinton campaign offering advice on how to deal with Senator Marco Rubio.
Citing his own poor attendance record in the State Assembly, Fletcher suggested that Rubio’s missed votes in the Senate could be an Achilles heel.
“I wanted to send you an email to share an experience from my Mayoral campaign that could prove useful. Many people smarter than me disagree but I would not want to run against Marco Rubio in a general election.”
By the way, that should be “Many people smarter than I...”
But, that’s getting petty.
Any campaign pro worth their salt already knows that a politician’s missed votes is a potential negative. Maybe Fletcher was looking for another way to prove himself a loyal Democrat.

Gee thanks Nathan for the brilliant idea. We never thought of that.
