From Tony Krvaric…

I just got my hands on a poll in the San Diego County District Attorney race commissioned by Adam Day with the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation showing Bonnie Dumanis with an insurmountable lead of more than 28 points!

Take a look at the full poll here.

For months Tom Shepard – who brought us Nathan Fletcher and then Bob Filner – has been shopping around a candidate against Bonnie. This is a pipe dream which will never happen.

This race can and needs to be decided in June. Bonnie has been endorsed by everyone in our coalition, including Mayor Faulconer, and I would ask you to offer her your full support.

Please visit Bonnie’s website today to make a contribution of up to $700 per person.

Go Bonnie!

Thank you for your leadership. 2014 is going to be a great year!

Best,

Tony Krvaric

  1. Tony,

That really is a cheap shot against Tom Shepard considering he also brought us Jerry Sanders, Dick Murphy, Susan Golding, Ron Roberts, Greg Cox, Dianne Jacob, Bill Horn and Pam Slater Price. Or maybe you have a problem with those electeds as well.

  2. Re “Hypocrisy questioned” post — Tom was not Dick Murphy’s consultant. I was. And Larry Remer was Pam Slater’s first consultant.

Re this poll, I am a Bonnie supporter — have been since I did her first campaign nearly 20 years ago. Just want to remind everyone this poll is driven by name ID — of which Brewster has very little — and the race will narrow drastically once the campaign really starts so when it does hopefully we will not get a lot of hyped up “Brewster closing fast” crap. And Bonnie will win. Just sayin’

  3. John,

Thanks for the corrections. Still, there were plenty of other names on that list to give Tom Shepard enough credibility that he doesn’t deserve any cheap shots from Tony K. Just sayin’.

  4. Hypocrisy: remember that Krvaric only began to appear in SD politics as a volunteer under the wing of Nehring around 2004. Anyone prior to Murphy is known to him only after the fact. Nonetheless, Tony had no problem taking member comm donations from Shepherd’s candidates for mayor and city council in the past.

The main disservice a public letter like this does is that by focusing on the matter of consultants, Krvaric reinforces the perception among stakeholders that Republican politics in CA and SD is consultant-driven. Taken at face value, this letter communicates that the only problem with the unnamed opponent is his choice of consultant. It’s petty, stupid, and counterproductive.
