SACRAMENTO, CA – Assemblyman Jones, from Santee, is back for the fourth year of his video series, “Are You Kidding Me?” This week, as a new member of the Assembly Budget Committee and in response to Governor Brown releasing his proposal for the 2015-16 State Budget, he is asking Californians for their input. Recognizing the Governor’s plan increases spending once again, Jones said, “California’s fiscal problems are not behind us, despite the headlines you see in your morning papers. Our state still faces $340 billion in unfunded pension and healthcare costs for the State’s retirees. As a member of the Assembly Budget Committee, I’m making your thoughts on the budget my priority. I’m eager to hear your input.”
