Poor Hillary: Little Did She Know How Much She Was Helping The Republicans.

Elizabeth Vargas of ABC news commented on the strong showing of female Republican candidates last night. Wait until you hear whom she attributed the success to: None other than Hillary Clinton. Hillary’s candidacy in the 2008 election paved the way, after all.

Sure, that’s what happened. I was wondering how people like Carly Fiorina, Nikki Haley and Meg Whitman did so well. Let’s extend a heart felt thanks to Elizabeth Vargas for explaining it to us.

Yes, I can just picture this. Republicans, going to the polls yesterday, thought back fondly to 2008. They pushed for strong Republican women with conservative values out of respect for Hillary Clinton. After all, no other female was in the race that year. Neither is that same woman busy these days endorsing candidates who are winning elections.

How will they spin this come November when Republicans more than likely take back the House and the Senate? “Democrats were getting in the way of Obama’s desire to reform Washington. That’s why we had to switch parties and promote some bi-partisanship.”

Does that sound nutty? Well that is exactly how Senator Scott Brown was explained. Dream on Democrats. Keep dreaming all the way through November. I have a feeling that this year, Thanksgiving will offer far more than stuffing and cranberry sauce to be thankful for.
