Seniors Will Lose Out on More Health Care Choices

WASHINGTON –California seniors are already feeling the devastating impact of ObamaCare’s cuts to Medicare, which are reducing access and limiting their healthcare choices.  Now seniors in California and across the country may be set to lose even more.

According to a new impact study by the American Action Forum, regulations proposed by the Obama Administration last month could place 14 million Medicare Part D beneficiaries nationwide at risk of losing their current prescription drug plans. Seniors utilize Part D plans to help cover the skyrocketing costs of prescription drugs. Scott Peters has done nothing to combat the costly effects that this would have on seniors in his state.

“First Obamacare and now Medicare Part D, seniors are being thrown a one-two punch from Scott Peters and House Democrats who have supported this failed law and have kept the door open for even more harmful side effects,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “Peters should know that what seniors in his district don’t need is more uncertainty in regards to their healthcare plans. Enough is enough.”
