SACRAMENTO – Amidst growing backlash for California’s High-Speed Rail program, Governor Brown has suggested using Cap & Trade funds to cover the failing project. Assemblyman Jones says, “Using money from the ‘cap and trade’ program that has taken millions from California companies to fund high-speed rail, are you kidding me? We’re dumping money into a high-speed rail plan that has yet to materialize. Not to mention, taking money from the cap and trade program once again to fund the state’s out-of-control spending addiction.”
