We did it!!
I’m so pleased by the outcome of Tuesday’s election – and hope you are too!
We passed Props A and B – to bring transparency to City Hall and to implement my pension reform initiative. We elected two more reformers to the San Diego City Council. And I’m pleased that we won a plurality of votes in the Mayor’s race and will now proceed to the November runoff.
The wins on Tuesday are not mine, they are YOURS. The wins reflect the hard work of thousands of San Diegans who walked door, collected thousands of signatures to qualify our reform measures, and made thousands of live phone calls to get-out-the-vote. We showed we can unite San Diegans behind solutions!
I DO need your help though.
We must reach out to San Diegans who did not support our campaign for reform. Let’s contact any supporters of Nathan Fletcher or Bonnie Dumanis and warmly invite them to join our effort to fix San Diego.
We must earn their support for November.
So please ask friends, colleagues and others to visit my website and JOIN our campaign by signing up as a supporter. Have them visit www.CarlDeMaio.com.
Thanks again for your support! Together we will move San Diego forward!
-Carl
PS: One way to convince San Diegans to join our team is to share the speech I gave on election night where I laid out our reform vision. Here is the link to my speech: http://youtu.be/saEsHLmKids
“I recognize that there are some San Diegans for whom I was not their first choice in this election. I want to earn your support – in my administration, we’re not leaving anybody behind. We’re committed to uniting all San Diegans behind our positive vision for the future.” – Carl DeMaio, June 5 Election Victory Speech
