San Diego City Councilman and mayoral candidate Carl DeMaio presented the “Roadmap to Recovery” fiscal recovery package for San Diego Feb 3, at a meeting of the Grantville Action Group. Since I live in Grantville, I stopped by to hear his pitch.
I also recorded video of his talk and questions and answers with the audience of about 30. I broke up the video into multiple segments, and have uploaded them to YouTube. Here are the links:
I have more to upload later this weekend.
You can find out about the plan more at Cleanupcityhall.com.

Two words: Mike Aguirre.
@Not Again: Two Words: Next Mayor
DeMaio’s Town Halls on the Roadmap to Recovery have been standing room only. By the end, the attendees are fully behind DeMaio’s plan.
I can only imagine these attendees are a) high propensity voters (who else attends a neighborhood meeting on city budgets and pensions) and b) will tell 3-5 other voters about DeMaio and his plan.
DeMaio has a plan — and he’s leading by building public support.
I can understand that if you are a union goon, that must absolutely terrify you. As a taxpayer, it thrills me!
If all your side has is “mike aguirre” and other silly personal attacks, then you are looking at our “next mayor.”
Who else has put out a comprehensive plan that deals honestly with the fiscal problems? I don’t think any other city leader could even put a plan together.
Carl should be commended for doing what other won’t: LEAD.
