9/11 – A Call to Action

Remember how our country united after the 9/11 attacks?  Everyone’s individual recollection of that day is still vivid in our mind’s eye.   Now, eight years later we the people are fighting another attack – on our liberty.   Our spirit and our resolve as one nation that we espoused after the terrorists downed the Trade Center and hit the Pentagon must continue for our nation to survive these attacks at our very core.

This is a day to talk to our kids about what really happened on 9/11.  Many school textbooks have so whitewashed the event that they have removed any reference to the radical Islamic Al Qaeda  organization and simply refer to them as terrorists.  Our kids need to know who killed innocent Americans on our soil and they need to know why.

We, as parents need to know the truth so we can pass that on to the next generation.  While your at it, how about reading the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence to them and have a discussion about its meaning?    If we are to unite as a strong nation and emerge from the rubble of 9/11, the Obama administration big government, or any other attack on our nation we must understand what our foundation as a nation is and what our God-given rights are or we will fall as the towers did this day eight years ago.

  1. I agree – it is amazing that Americans can actually forget the tragedy of 9/11. We must tell our kids about it so that the lessons learned from that historic day will not have to be repeated.
