I came across a Fletcher fundraising invite today, hosted at the home of notorious plaintiffs lawyer and convicted felon Bill Lerach. What is most striking is Lerach is the same Lerach who sued the late Fletcher booster Duane Roth’s company, Alliance Pharmaceuticals, and famously said about the suit, “I don’t give a f*** about the merits.” Duane and Ted Roth, rather than settle out of court like most targets of Lerach and other predatory trial lawyers, decided to fight it, spending $2 million before a judge threw the suit out.
We all know about No-Show-Nate’s sense of “loyalty” and one has to wonder if Duane was still alive (as you may know he’s posthumously supporting Nathan’s candidacy), would Nate have the nerve to schedule this event at Lerach’s La Jolla mansh, paid for with the sweat-equity and risk-taking of entrepenuers like Duane Roth?
Keep it classy, Nate!
It’s also worth noting that while No-Show-Nate enjoys his $400,000 no-show job at technology giant Qualcomm and markets himself as an “innovator” (what has he ever innovated besides the triple-flippy, which is being a member of 3 political parties in one year), his new friend Lerach is living off millions made suing technology companies in frivolous suits. Wired Magazine even called him a “bloodsucking scumbag.”
This is who we want for mayor?
