Let’s face facts. Ted Cruz screwed up big time.
When Cruz committed to support the eventual Republican nominee, that’s the only thing he said. He apparently left some things out.
A big mistake.
Cruz did NOT say, “I will endorse the nominee, just as long as the nominee doesn’t make disparaging comments about my wife and suggest my dad was involved in the JFK assassination.”
He clearly should have been smart enough to mention those things.
End of story. Cruz offered NO caveats, so he needs to live up to his commitment.
And, for you married folks who say you’d endorse Trump in the same situation — well, I’m certainly glad to know your commitment to “doing the right thing” by Trump is more important than a commitment to your spouse.
