Nathan Fletcher today issued the following statement announcing that he has endorsed three candidates for San Diego City Council:
“I am proud to endorse Ray Ellis, Mark Kersey, and Scott Sherman. Each of these candidates brings experience, a commitment for change, and an ability to work together to move San Diego forward. When I am mayor, I will look forward to working with them and other council members to develop and implement innovative solutions to turn the page on the last decade at city hall.
“San Diego’s next mayor will need council members who can get our city’s finances back on track by making city government more efficient through innovation. These three candidates will help move us forward on the path toward a brighter, more prosperous future and help make San Diego a magnet for companies in the emerging new economy who will create good-paying local jobs.”

Strange press release. He didn’t get quotes from any of the Ellis, Kersey or Sherman campaigns? The purpose of endorsing a candidate(s) is to help their campaign and highlight it. That didn’t happen here.
This comes across as Nathan only trying to help Nathan to me.
Aynd Rand,
By the time the election rolls around they may be glad that he didn’t.
