SACRAMENTO — In response to a query by Sen. Joel Anderson, R-El Cajon, the state attorney general’s office has stated that it is legal for the California Legislature’s Latino Caucus to limit its membership only to Democratic members. Anderson was upset after Assemblyman Rocky Chávez of Oceanside was denied membership in the group.
