Royce Sullivan, for “I’ll outgrow the shirt… But not the taxes.”
The competition was clever and it was a tough call for judges Chris Cate of SDCTA, Kelly Davis of San Diego City Beat, and yours truly. Michael Schwartz and Jeff Johnson offered up some terrific entries. In the end, we went with Royce’s caption for its theme that got right to the heart of the matter – taxes! He also managed to be funny without referencing doo doo.
