Councilman Steve Gronke files papers to run again for Bill Horn’s seat in 2014

Vista City Councilman Steve Gronke today filed papers to run again for the North County Supervisor seat now held by  Bill Horn.   Last  November 2nd,  Bill Horn defeated Gronke for the job by a 10,107-vote margin  (53% to 47%).

Gronke’s filing included a Form 501 ‘Candidate Intention’ form, and a Form 460, “redesignating Committee to campaign for same office.”   These forms are required should  Councilman Gronke wish to begin collecting funds for the 2014 contest.

This development continues a recent trend in which candidates for Supervisor start their planning and fundraising years ahead of time.  Steve Danon (District 3), Greg Cox (District 1), and both Dianne Jacob and Rudy Reyes (Dist. 2)  have taken similar steps for the 2012 election cycle. SD Rostra’s Hydrilla Guerrillas found the key documents at the Registrar of Voters.
