OK, a brief break to celebrate something that Unites us: Aztec football. Heisman Trophy hopeful Ronnie Hillman somehow ran faster at altitude in Colorado Springs tonight, leading SDSU to an upset of favored Air Force (Vegas made the Falcons a 6-point choice). Aztecs are now 4-2 overall, and 1-1 in Mountain West Conference. More details at the “Go Aztecs” website. Their next two San Diego Stadium home games will be vs. the Wyoming Cowboys (on Oct. 29) and the New Mexico Lobos (Nov. 5th). Good seats are still available !
Other Aztec standouts included Brandon Davis (97-yard kickoff return for touchdown), Quarterback Ryan Lindley (15 for 21, 209 yards, 2TDs) and tight end Alston Umolo, whose 27-yard TD grab is pictured below.
